Helio, So sorry about the problems at the race track in Sonoma today. We know you did the best you could. Better luck next week end in Chicago and for the remaining races after that. Main thing is you are ok and did not get hurt. You are still the #1 driver in my book. Take care and keep the faith!

Helio, I’m sorry you were knocked around so much this weekend. I imagine you’ll want to soak in a hottub or a tub with Epsom Salts. It also looked like you limped a little on your bad ankle as you walked down the hill. But watching you run back up the hill to “wave” at TK was priceless! That was just another side of your spirit that I love so much. God bless you.

Not the race you wanted today I’m sure.I followed you with the IndyRace Control on-board camera today and that pretty much gave me heart failure,especially whilst taking the scenic rout via the dust alley!!!!So glad you emerged OK from the car,that was quite scary.However congrats to Ryan again.Lets go to Chicago,put this behind us,with a positive outlook and onto some Oval racing finally again.We know you will have better results in the next couple of races.At least you are still 4th in spite of missing the first race…many drivers only dream of that accomplishment.

You have already exceeded all our expectations with the Indy 500 win and the outcome of the trial.In our eyes you are our Champion..whatever points you have or whatever position you finish in the race.

….and as an afterthought,loved the Twitter pictures you posted of Adriana on the way to Sonoma BUT you better sleep with one eye open…payback is coming!!!Loved the picture of you and Tuggy too,did he give you some tips on driving?

Helio, We are so glad you weren’t hut in any of the things that happened to you today. We were glad to see you get out of your car safe and sound, in the end that is all we care about. Wow Helio, what a cluster. This course is a killer and certainly an accident waiting to happen. Glad to see you crawl out of the plow your car turned into at the end. Thankful that Will and Phillipe are recovering. That was a truly scary moment when Will crashed into Phillipe. Congrats to Ryan on keeping up with Dario but D’s team was astonishing at getting him out in record time. That is hard to defeat but it is clear who the class of the field is. Thanks for mixing it up out there with the tire strategy and the off schedule pits. I was truly surprised when you stayed out there after your little meeting of the minds with TK. Do you think that caused the problem that put you in the sand toward the end of the race? Oh well, on to Chicagoland and the scene of your fabulous finale last season. Go get ‘em speed racer. Helio,

I am so glad that you are okay. Wow, that was a heck of a ride.
Everything was going so well until you got clipped. When you went
airbourne and started smoking it got scary. Then later when you went
airbourne and in the dirt my heart wrenched. I was so glad to see you
get out of the car and dust yourself off. (In car camera perspective)

I’m sorry the race didn’t go your way today.
Main thing is that you are safe and not injured.
The team will get you up and running again.
I’m sure things will be better in Chicago.

What happened to the car? Sucks to hear you had another DNF. Hopefully, you can get all your bad luck out of the way and become the 2010 champion!

Helio, quals yesterday were certainly exciting, and the race today should be spectacular! Will be glued to the TV and the computer to watch and listen. Am feeling really, really postive about seeing you in the winner’s circle today!

Just want to add my thoughts and prayers for Will’s recovery. I know you and the entire Penske organization have been very concerned.

Dear Helio,

We were at the track today and came through your autograph line. As many fans were, we were happy and jovial wishing you and Ryan the best of luck and wishing you to have fun out there. Please forgive us…at that time a lot of us at the track were unaware of the seriousness of Will Power’s condition. We never even got to see a replay of the wreck involving he and Nelson on the big screen. Neither can we hear the track announcer over all of the surrounding noise. It wasn’t until many us of arrived back to our hotels/homes that we learned what happened to your friend. And as Penske fans through-and-through our hearts are broken as well. Please understand that we, and I’m sure many of your fans, did not mean to be insensitive—we just didn’t know.
