@Helio: Helio, you are my favorite driver, and you have earned it, not only with your skill, but your great personality. I was thrilled to see you win twice before — I was gratified and thankful, as I’m sure you and your family were, when you were justly acquitted — I was even more thrilled to see you win the third time for the hundredth anniversary Indy 500, your family praying for your safety and your victory, your genuine passion (tears, fence-climbing, head and arms raised to the Lord, etc.!) for the sport that you are most gifted at, and most of all, your honoring the Lord first in your victory! I also pray that, more than just having a religion, that you have put your TOTAL trust in Jesus Christ ALONE, in His perfect death for our sins, burial, resurrection to offer us eternal life and peace with God, and the PROOF of His resurrection by many eyewitness accounts, over 40 days, and to more than 500 eyewitnesses (He not only was seen, they could put their fingers in the holes in His hands and side, He talked with them, and He ATE FISH with them! Ghosts, hallucinations, etc. DO NOT EAT!). JESUS IS MY LORD AND SAVIOR, and I hope that you trust in Him the same way, as well as your family and your girlfriend. May the Lord continue to bless and protect you!

website. I come from Southern California but I missed going to the Long Beach race tract last
Sunday to see you in person (I was not well medically). I watched the race on TV and it was so
nice to see your smiling face again, and your enthusiasm in being in your race car once again.
I do understand that it will take time for you to emotionally and mentally get over the past
events. But I know you can do it because of your faith in God and determination to turn a page
and move on! You also have your family and your millions of fans who continually pray and support

I agree with Barb. You need to get back in a routine. I read the same article and you also said you lost 13 pounds during the trial. Yikes.
There was another sweet article about Kati. She is such a strong woman especially now that she’s a mother. She just sounds like a wonderful person, just like her baby brother.
I just watched Julianne and Chuck on DWTS. I thought Chucks costume reminded me of a certain someone’s costume for his cha cha cha. They also danced the Samba and got a 27 and who loves his country’s dance? I think it was just a coincidence, but I thought it was cute.

Helio, I read in the Indianapolis newspaper this morning that you had been asked to stay in California and be on the Dancing with the Stars show tonight, but you asked for a raincheck. You need to get some rest and eat and sleep normally for a while…but maybe sometime before it’s over, we’d all be glad to see you there. We all learned to love you and really feel like we knew you when you were on that show. I’m so glad we were able to do that, because that’s when we all realized what a wonderful person you were. It was so great to hear you praise God and thank all of us for the prayers. So many times people seem embarassed to express their belief in God publicly. We are all so proud of you. You are all over the newspapers and TV here in Indy with the two Dave’s on Channel 6 and Channel 13. I hope you know how much you were missed!! Stay safe…but have some fun and RELAX !!! I love you like one of my own kids!! You’re the best!!
Hi Helio I would like to congratulate you on your victory over the untrue and unjust charges leveled against you by the US govt. You deserve a public apology from them. It was SO wonderful seeing you back racing again yesterday! I always believed that everything would turn out okay because you’re such a great guy and a true gentleman. Most everyone I talked to about your case agreed that they believed in your innocence because you are a person of great character. I was confident you would be acquitted as the trail drug on and the jury kept asking for more testimony transcripts. If they couldn’t understand the tax laws after six weeks of having them explained by tax lawyers and accountants how could anyone?

It was so exciting to see you so happy. That smiling face of yours was fantastic to see. Seeing how happy you were and how happy everyone was to have you back, was as good as seeing you race. You did great today. We were so happy that you weren’t hurt yesterday and that the car was okay too. I knew God wouldn’t take you that far to have something like that happen.
My husband suprised me with some gifts he had been waiting to give me after you were aquitted (see we really did know you would be okay). He had boughten both of us Inianapolis 500 anniversary caps to wear when we go next month. He also bought me an Helio Castroneves pin and a couple Indy car patches. We were smiling and shouting with joy periodicly all night Friday night. I almost forgot what it was like not to have my stomach in knots.
Now it’s time for you to take a few days to rest and relax and get some good sleep. Don’t push yourself to hard. Tell Kati to do the same. You two are so cute in that picture. Take Care,

It was exciting to see your smile as you acknowledged your team and the fans welcoming you
back at Long Beach, reading your statement how you got to the race tract before other drivers
to sit in your car for a while, asking Tim if it was a dream, seeing you get inside your car,
and finally seeing you race. I’m sure the Lord and His angels were smiling and singing when
you acknowledged your faith in God in front of the world, and the reality of the power of prayers. We are more than happy to pray for you and support you. I have always been inspired by your positiveness and joyful personality – we felt it was our turn to help you be strong in your faith when you needed it. Finishing 7th on your first race this season (considering you haven’t driven
for 6 months) is a big accomplishment.
I’m glad you had a ck-up right after you complained of headache to rule-out any neurological problems. Please don’t push yourself too much but take this opportunity before the next
race to sleep and rest a lot – I’m sure you haven’t had enough sleep in addition to too much
tension x 7 wks, in addition to your adrenaline pumping with the thought of racing again. Your
health is more important than all the winnings you are going to get. You are always a champion

Only bad part of yesterday was your unfortunate crash, but that’s quite understandable given the circumstances. You looked great out there, as usual! Hope you’re feeling better. Hitting the wall backwards can’t be too good for your neck. Make sure they check you out before you drive again, as I’m sure they will. If it’s just sore muscles, try a bag of frozen peas with a wet cloth over it on your neck for about 20 minutes at a time. I’ve had back trouble all my life, and that’s what they told me to use in physical therapy.
Helio, I am so happy this nightmare is over for you and your family. I have been pulling for you all along and was overjoyed to read the news reports yesterday. I was extremely happy to see you take to the track this morning for practice and then qualifying. Look forward to watching you race for another season! Good luck!

I think I would have cried every time I held my son, my baby, during an ordeal such as what you’ve had to endure these past months and especially the last seven weeks. God has blessed you and your whole family, especially that beautiful little boy of yours. I think I’d still be crying today but for a joyful reason. That photo of you and Helio up above is beautiful and speaks volumes about your love for each other. Never in my life have I seen a family as close as yours. It’s beautiful! Very happy and relieved for your both. I just read about the verdict today but I suspected that’s what the jury would do based on the questions to the judge. It’s sad that you had to spend so much of your time, money and emoitons defending yourself against and over-zellous prosecution. You now have a second chance at life and I’m sure you will make the most of it!! The best revenge is to be happy!! It seems to me that something could have been worked out with them to prevent a waste of taxpayers money by holding a trial that resulted in absolutely nothing! Of all the politicians in Washington D.C. that REALLY DID screw the government not one of them was charged by the IRS. Rather, they were appointed to Obama’s cabinet! What a joke! I’m so happy for everyone involved — you, Kati, Alan, the attorneys — and of course, Team Penske who never wavered in their support. But since I can’t be there, I’ll be watching your practices, your run for the pole, and of course, the race. Can hardly wait!!!! You’re one of a kind, Helio, and we love you so much!
Helio! We were at the track in Long Beach without internet access, but just so happened to be in front of the Penske transporters when we heard the wonderful news! I believed all along that you, Kati and Mr. Miller were innocent. I kept up with the trial online every day and hoped as you said that the truth would prevail. It must be tough to be on trial in another country but, you held on to your beliefs and stuck to your guns. Thats why you are the CHAMPION you are. Today you have made all your fans proud of who we follow. Not only for the racer you are but more importantly for the MAN you are.
You won a great race today, I know Long Beach will have the same result. Go there, do what you love to do. Let it all hang out and climb that fence in the end! I wish you all the best of luck during the coming season. As for the season I sincerly hope that when they crown you champion you take the series trophy like it was yours all along. You deserve it. And by the way I’ll be watching.

Great, the US goverment needs to keep in mind that we live in a Democracy, I knew you had all your aces in a row, too bad it cost the taxpayers of this country a million bucks or more for a witch hunt. a miracle a lot of prayers can do, in addition to our belief in Kati and your innocence.
You and your family had gone thru a lot of mental stress but God, I’m sure, had started your
healing process. I’d love to see you race again in your #3 race car, but please be careful. Altho’
Tim said healing for you is being in your race car. I’m glad to hear that Brian B will give you
enough practice time prior to qualification.
It was so nice to hear from you prior to your flight to Long Beach. I am so glad, too, that kati

FANTASTIC!!!!!! I and my family are absolutely thrilled with the acquittal. When I told my son of the verdict, he started jumping around with happiness. He is 14 and probably would not like me saying that. You are his favorite sports figure, period. (He has been a fan of yours since he was little, as our family has since we first started watching you race) He has been worried for you and your sister, and could not imagine what IRL would be like if you were not there. We have hoped for this day, and this verdict and are ecstatic that you can return and bring the joy back to Indy car racing! Best of luck in Long Beach, and the rest of the season! We will be watching!

My husband had called me, because he knew I had been praying for you every day. I know you will be right where you want to be, but it may take a little while for your body to realize it doesn’t have to be tense anymore. This should have never gone to trial and Im so glad you were aquitted. I underpayed the IRS by a lot around two years ago. The IRS sent me a bill and I payed it, end of story. They just wanted to make an example of a famous and very nice guy. They should have never put you thru this. Get some sleep and know there are a lot of people who care about you.

I posted this in the previous blog before I saw this new one, so I’m just moving it here.
I keep coming back to read the comments too. You know, a couple of times throughout this trial of yours, Helio, I shared a Bible verse that explains that “When one member of [Christ's] body suffers the other members suffer with it; and when one member is glorified all the other members rejoice with it.” We have suffered with you, Helio, and now that you have been glorified through God’s blessing we are rejoicing with you too. It is a beautiful thing to witness firsthand the truth in God’s Word. It is even more beautiful to witness such truth in the company of so many believers. Praise God and His Word, for by they alone do we receive this life of joy today and everyday. And Helio, I can’t wait for you to keep spreading your joy around again. You may never know just how many hearts will be lightened and spirits lifted through your spiritual gift.

I don’t have the words to express how happy I am for you, Kati and your family!!! I was at work when I saw the report. Let’s just say that everyone in the good ole Home Depot knew IMMEDIATELY that I’d gotten good news. They heard me all over the store!!!!!!!!!!! It’s onward and upward from here my friends!!! Não lhe enviei nenhuma mensagem de apoio, durante o processo o qual esteve submetido porque entendi que você não teria cabeça para tal. Porém, agora, diante da espetacular notícia de sua inocência e sua irmã (eu tinha certeza) quero através deste, parabenizá-lo. Como teu fã, acredito que o resultado obtido deu-se por alguns fatores que convém ressaltar tais como: DEUS em primeiro lugar (justiça divina); a justiça dos homens onde mostrou a todos a sua inocência, onde você acima de tudo não merecia resultado diferente; e, sua humildade, onde manteve-se humilde e lhe peço continue humilde, humildade é uma das grandes qualidades de um campeão. É óbvio que voçê está muito feliz!! Mas, acredito que todos que acompanham a F-Indy, também estão, pois a Indy sem Hélio Castroneves o “Homem Aranha” perde em qualidade; em competitividade; em carisma; em velocidade; em alegria pois Hélio Castroneves é sinônimo de tudo isso. Assim meu caro, para finalizar desejo-lhe tudo de bom, tenha um excelente retorno ao bólido número 3 da penske e espero vê-lo com a mesma determinação que o manteve nestes dias dificeis agora a partir de Long Beach. I’m soooooooo thrilled for you, Helio and Kati too. Today has truly turned magical!!! It’s been so very stressful for the whole seven weeks now, checking the computer sites for any kind of updates. I can only imagine the mental stress you’ve been through. But, now it’s over and you’re off to Long Beach!!! Thank God. Travel safe and I’ll be watching the race on TV.
