Em relação a vc tenho uma curiosidade, pude perceber vc pedir seus óculos escuros dentro cock-pit após a vitória, depois vi alguém pegá-lo. Cara onde foi para aquele óculos naquela muvuca toda. I don’t think words can express how I feel right now. I’m a relatively ‘new’ fan to Indy racing. Last year was my first time watching the 500, but even then I could easily tell that it was your favorite place to race. And now, seeing your joy and the emotion on your face when you won the pole, it brought tears to MY eyes. And even then, in the middle of what is probably the best moment of the last year for you, you still managed to remember to thank your fans for their support. You’re one of a kind, Helio. Hey champ…thrilled you outran them all to sit on the pole during this special celebration (100 years… WOW. I wish you very good luck going for the pole today. I will be watching the whole time. The fire here in Santa Barbara hasn’t knocked out our power so I’m happy that I’ll be able to watch you.

Watch you practice again at work (again I did do my work.) My boss said at lunch I know I tease you but what does “Fast Friday” mean? Is it really importaint to get the Pole Position? Plus a few other questions. So I educated him a little bit. Though after only watching for a year I still have plenty of learning to do. I Love it. We can’t wait to drive an Indy car in October.Anyway the practice was great. Tom and I decided to drive over there tomorrow to watch the Race for the Pole.
I am so looking forward to it. This also means that I need to go to bed so I can wake up early enough to go. Looking forward to seeing that smiling face! Have the time of your life but be safe.

Are you doing any appearances or autograph sessions while you are in Indy?
The reason I ask, is for those of us that don’t live in Indiana, who would
make the trip to see you while you are there. I have only seen the races on
television, and have no idea what the protocol is at the track on practice
days. Any information would be appreciated.

There were so many young kids at the track today. I loved watching them follow you around like you were their mama duck. Every time you went from the pits to the garage and back, they were following you. It was so cute!!
Hope you have a very happy 34th birthday on Sunday! P.S. – I heard Derek Hough say on TV that he was going to be at the Indy 500 this year. I hope Julianne comes too!
I also read the Curt Cavin article about you in the Indianapolis Star this morning. I hope you get back into your normal sleeping routine soon. I know it’s difficult when you’ve been through something traumatic as you have. Maybe being here in Indy for the whole month will help you feel like yourself again.

What a great practice run. I know it must feel like heaven to you. I watched you on my computer at work. Yes I was also doing my job. I had half the screen monitor set up with the pratice and the other half with what I had to do on the computer. My boss (who is very cool) just shook his head in disbelief. I said “I can muti-task just fine.” I work at the library looking up obituaries for people doing genealogy. Anyway,we plan on being at the track on Saturday to watch the race for the Pole Position. I will have to admit that I much prefer the smooth face look,your smile just stands out more. It is so wonderful to see so happy. I can hardly wait to get to Indy. My husband is saying he wants to take me there on Sunday. Since it’s Mothers Day I’ll have to see what all our kids are planning. We will be there the weekend of the race. My husband Tom turned 50 last week and I bought him a scanner and 2 pair of headphones. I also bought him a book on Penske racing. He bought some kind of Penske books because they had pictures of you and he knew I would love them. He knows me well. He tied your little Die-cast Indy car on my rearview mirror. Practice may have gotten rained out today, but it sure didn’t stop your sunlight from shining through. So nice to see you so happy and ready to go.
On our local news station, they cover the night’s lottery numbers. In the first two drawings (Texas Lotto and Cash 5) there was a 3 in each and in the Pick 3, there were two 3′s.
Was it an omen or am I just weird? We’ll see May 9th (the day you get your birthday gift to yourself – a pole) and May 24th (you get Win #3.
I was reading Curt Cavin’s blog and someone asked if he thought there would be another 4-time 500 winner in the near future. Curt said, “I think Helio has a really good chance since he’s halfway there and driving for a team that will always be a contender. Maybe Dixon for the same reasons, but HCN is more likely, obviously.”
I hope you can reach that number and tie with Al Unser, Rick Mears, and, one of my personal favorites, A.J. Foyt. We know you can do it.

Sorry about all the rain here in Indy today. I saw you on local TV signing autographs for a lot of very wet fans out at the track today. You looked so happy and content surrounded by many of those who love you…but I’m sure you wish you could have been in your car today too! Lets hope the weather improves tomorrow! I had planned to be there today, but my grandkids had a 1/2 day off school, so couldn’t make it today…maybe tomorrow!!!

Helio, I love your scruff, it suits you. My husband really surprised me with a pink Helio hat. He had also ordered me a Helio tee shirt but it was back ordered. The reason it was so surprising is he never does anything like that. He just knows how much I adore you and thought I would love it. Which, of course, I do. He wanted me to have it just in case we get to a race this year. I thought it was pretty sweet, and a fun surprise I was not expecting. On Sunday, May 10th, your birthday and Mothers Day, I will proudly be wearing it in honor of you.

Sounds like Sunday will be a great day for the Castroneves family – Mother’s Day for your mom, Kati’s first Mother’s Day, and your 34th birthday (btw, you don’t look 34 at all; you look so much younger (you’re one of those guys that’s aging well)).

I was going through the digital issues of IndyCar magazine and read the article where you interviewed yourself. Still love it. Only you can pull one of those interviews off.
@Chuck in Atlanta: Chuck, I’d like to know how supportive ET and DWTS have been also. And here in Indianapolis the track opens on Wednesday, and so far I’ve seen the local sports guys interview both Target guys, TK is the track spokesperson for our ABC affiliate, but I haven’t seen anyone talk to Helio yet since Long Beach. Hopefully, it’s because it is Helio’s choice, or he doesn’t arrive in Indy until tomorrow. Time will tell, but I also would be upset if I thought people were not being supportive of him. I read an article in the Miami Herald on the day of his acquittal that said when the not guilty verdict came in, a US Marshal officer raised his fist and said “go get em Helio”, and the security guard manning the metal detector hugged him and said “you’re the man”. So nice to hear things like that, because we all know what a great person Helio is.
@Chuck in Atlanta: Chuck, I remember seeing an article that stated there was much support and text messages coming from LA and the studio, especially from Julianne and the behind the scenes crew. But I’d love to hear that from Helio, too!

I am so looking forward to seeing you soon in Indy. I’m going to plan on being there on Wednesday. When I tried buying the “Helio” shirt on the Penske Racing website, they called me to say that all of them were sent to Indianapolis…they even told me where to find the Penske trailer loaded with all the Penske merchandise (next to Danica’s) right behind the Pagoda. I’m hoping for good weather Wednesday, but it’s looking kind of questionable right now.

I want to wish you the best of luck at Indy. I hope to see you win. I am a new comer to Indy car racing. I watch Dancing and I saw you and I started to watch Indy car racing so I could see you at what you do best. My husband is overjoyed as he loves racing and now I love it too. We are going to Watkins Glen to see the race in July. I am so excited I can’t wait. I have to tell you it was my birthday yesterday and I go your tee shirt that Helio won Dancing. I love it. I’d like to know if or how supportive the people and ET and Dancing With The Stars were during your legal issues. I’d like to make sure I’m not watching or supporting shows that didn’t treat you as innocent until proven otherwise. My hope is that they were good to you but I suspect otherwise. Will we be seeing you on the shows again in the future?

Hey Helio, looking good with the beard growth and the shirt I recognize from the beach scene with J in season 5. I am almost sorry I remember that but it gives me pleasure to think of a time when all the cares in the world melted away when you danced. I was at Indy last year but will not make it this year because of circumstances beyond my control. My life has changed and I was challenged much as you were. I lost my job and had to move 200 miles away to find work. It has taken a while to recover but I am fairly settled at this time and praying for you also focused my attention on my own needs. God is answering prayers all over and I will be praying for you to win Indy and find true love to share your life with. I am also praying for true love for me but that is another chapter. Go Spiderman, and give me the sincere pleasure of watching you climb the fence in real time. I hope Penske finds out the formula for the rocket fuel Gnassi uses so we will see Dixon and Franchitti in the rear view mirror. Castroneves, Briscoe and Power, the perfect podium. Praying now and constantly until Indy 500 for our favorite guys. Please join me prayer warriors, as we demonstrate our power through Christ as in Helio’s trial.
