Helio captured his third win at Texas Motor Speedway last Saturday (June 6th), and now heads for a weekend off.
After saving fuel the entire race, Helio was able to short fuel at the last pitstop, and take on the lead.
Providing another 1-2 finish for Team Penske.
The next race will be in IOWA, make sure to tune in to ABC at 1pm on June 21st.

Helio, Congratulations on the pole position for Iowa. Very considerate of you to invite Will Power to accept the award with you and I am sure it made him feel good too. That’s just the way you are. Makes you special. Also special was the My Fox interviews for Richmond. You looked happy and the lady said you are a doll. She is right! Will be watching you Sunday in Iowa. As always, best of luck!!!
I forgot to add, Helio, that inviting Will to come accept the pole award with you was a very nice and cool thing to do. He’s a big part of why you are leading the entrance points now. I know Will would love to be in that #12, but I’m sure that your invitation meant a lot to him. You again showed what a class act you are.

Wonderful interview. Everytime you win, I put your picture (with the trophy or climbing the fence)on my computer at work. That way everyone who comes to my desk sees it and I get to talk about Indy racing with them. My birthday is Monday, I really want to have your picture on my computer Monday !

CONGRATULATIONS Helio for pole position at Iowa. Continuing prayers and hoping for a safe and winning race for you. Be careful with your fence climbing since you mentioned lately that those ropes tend to put pressure on your fingers. Just a thought – instead of Marlboro as one of your sponsors, how about M & M since you love chocolate???

Hey Helio, you are more and more comfortable in front of the camera. I think the sky is the limit for you in 20 or 30 years when you retire from driving. Like the lady said, you are adorable, who couldn’t love you and your wonderful spirit. Julianne really loosened up that hip action too. Looking forward to seeing you in Iowa this weekend. Super interview with Fox Helio.I love to listen to you with your excitement and enthuiasm that you show in whatever you do.The IRL does not do enough of these so that fans can connect with their favorite drivers to help with the growth of the fans and the sport.
Its onto Iowa this week.Good luck this weekend.Another good finish and the Championship comes a little closer.I know you can do it..the fans will be pushing you towards that goal with cheers,prayers and alot of screaming(in a good way!) to that finish line and fence climbing.Be careful on the fence with the fingers !!!

For some strange reason, I got cut off of the last three minutes of your interview, but I’ll try and watch it some other time.
You were fantastic the entire time Helio. You answered every question with an honest and insightful answer. And I agree with Barb, you look great. You look relaxed, happy, ready to go for this weekend, and you look to be at your healthy weight again. You were so thin earlier this yearm I was a little worried about you.
Helio, really enjoyed watching the video of your USA today interview on the USA Today website. That’s one of the longest interviews I’ve seen you do for a while, and the reader questions really covered quite a variety of subjects, including your dancing experiences. You did a very good job of answering all their questions, and I was happy to see that you looked very relaxed and rested. It also appears you have been able to get back to your original weight again, which looks good on you. You were so thin there for a while!!

Looking forward to Iowa. I’ll be watching the race at home. My granny and Cousin Vel are coming to stay with my brother and me while our parents are in Colorado. Vel’s already promised me that she and I will be cheering for you together.
She fell in love with you when you were on DWTS and she loves hearing about you having lots of success. She’s had some tough times lately (including losing her home because of Hurricane Ike) and you make her smile.
Heard Shawn Johnson is going to be at the race next Sunday. Any chance we’ll be seeing you two “Dancing” champs hanging out in the garage area before the race?

I was at RIR today watching you test. I told the security guys at the entrance to pit road that I was your umbrella holder for the day, but they wouldn’t buy it!
Oh well, I still enjoyed watching you from the grandstand. I got to meet another one of your Richmond fans who also posts on this blog. We both were wearing our red Helio t-shirts and screaming our lungs out from the grandstand across from your pit box. Fun day!

It’s good that you have a few days off. At least you won’t be racing on a day when I have to work.
Next weekend I’ll be able to sit back and enjoy the race with Tom. Your watch is cool. I bought Tom a Ritmo Mundo Indy watch for Christmas. Unfortunitly he doesn’t like it. The watch is okay he just can’t read it because I bought him the Indy one with the siver face. He waited to long to exchangge for the one with the black face. So it sits on his dresser instead of his wrist. Anyway enough of that. I hope you are enjoying some relaxing time with your family and Adrianna. She seemed very nice at Indy. I bet Tugi is happy to see you. Please say “Hi” to Kati and Eduardo, I enjoyed meeting them at Indy. The pictures we took came out great.

I’m pleased to say that I’m proof that adopting your mental attitude towards challenges can pay big in the end.
I was very pleased to discover that I scored all A’s for my junior year of high school AND was commneded on all TAKS tests.
Only missed one question on English/Language Arts but was off on short answer questions (which suck) and got a 3 out of 4 on my essay. Missed only one question on Math, missed two on History, and three on Science. I’m extremely pleased.
Came in every test morning with a winning attitude similar to your’s. Thanks for being such an inspiration. Love yah.
Would love to have that watch, but sadly can’t afford it. Oh well. At least your signature is now on my poster in my room.
