After 7th on the first practice and 4th on the second practice, Helio will start on the pole this sunday.
Ready for today’s race Helio comments:
“Those points definitely kept me in the front of the pits and now gave me the pole position at Iowa. Unfortunately for the fans, they didn’t get to see the excitement of qualifying. Fortunately, I ended up getting a great situation here with a good starting position. Now that we have a Team Penske front row, we’ll go for the win.”

Great race you scared your fans when you and Dixon touched each other. Like you said better than last year and you are still in the championship race in fourth place. It is also nice to see your smiling face. Good luck in Richmond we will be cheering you on.

Good race on Sunday. Even if you didn’t win there was a smile on your face. That’s what we love about you. Scared me when you made contact with Dixon. At least you weren’t out of the race. Hope all goes well for the race this weekend. We’ll be watching. BIG HUG from Rhonda

Nice save for the championship points. Despite all of the cautions today, it was a pretty exciting race. For a moment it looked like Ryan and Dario might experience what you and… what’s his name?… Oh yeah, Scott had earlier in the race. Those stands looked packed with fans too.
Decent race Helio. A top 10 and you’re still in the hunt.
Keep digging. You can still get yourself a championship if you stay consistant, lead laps, and win more poles and races.

Good luck today in Iowa Helio,we will be cheering as loud as ever to the checkers.I had to persuade a fellow worker to access indycar.com yesterday from his cell phone to find out who won the pole,so i was very excited that Team Penske took the honors…regardless of how it was earnt we’ll take it..right!!Hopefully the rain will co-operate for a great race today.
