Hello everyone,
I haven’t writen in here for a long time, have been so busy this month of July, so many races together, it’s amazing.
Just writing to say that i am in MidOhio, getting ready for sunday (don’t forget to watch).
Also I wanted to tell everyone, that I’m very excited about the Brazil race. We still don’t know where it is going to be, but it’s on March 14th, as you can read in the other post.
As soon as I know where it’s going to be, I’ll let you guys know.

Helio, it’s almost September, so we are looking forward to your next blog post from you. Glad you are ok from your dusty spinout on Sunday. It scared me for a minute, because it didn’t look like you were moving in the car! Praying God continues to keep you safe always, and your family and beautiful girlfriend too!
Really enjoyed that video!!! Have not been able to go to one of races, that may have been here in California this year , but believe me , next year. I will be there!!! It was grat to watch you race in our home state. Sorry the car wasn’t working for you that day. I was impressed that you got out of the sand without having to be helped. Well we all have one of those days. I guess it could have been worse though.
Sonoma should be great. It’s a beautiful place.
I’ll be watching. It would be great to go to Brazil next year and watch in person.
I’ve always wanted to go there. Then the next month is Long Beach. I’ve been attending
that race since 1986! haven’t missed a year yet.

POSITIVE side….You got rid of all the “not-so-good” tires, car, spin, gas shortage..lol– out of the way in one race!

Too bad you weren’t comfortable with you car for most of the race. That’s what the announcers said. Perhaps you’ll have better luck in Sonoma just like you did last year to end a long streak you had had without a win. I wish I could be there in person to cheer for you again. I recall during the “meet and greet” you were asked when your next win would be. You hesitated to reply but the audience yelled out “Today!” and you did it! I believe you can do it again! Just remember that, even if your fans who were there last year can’t be there this year, our spirits will still be rooting for your victory. Godspeed, Helio.

I forgot to add that I watched the end of the ALMS race from yesterday after the Indy race. Great run for the de Ferran car. I don’t think you could’ve had a better friend and team leader back in your early days at Penske than Gil de Ferran. Such a classy guy.
I missed most of the race (the satelitte kept cutting in and out and got knocked out due to storms in the area). What happened?
Guess it’ll be a weekend off to recharge your batteries and then a return trip to Infineon. Hopefully, you can repeat. You’ve got nothing to lose when it comes to points. You can gamble a little and go for victories.

I just wish there were more races nearby, in California, and more races in general.

Ahh man! That video was so nice it makes me want to go back to Infineon this year. I was there last year and got to watch you win that race. My husband posted your Meet and Greet with Graham Rahal on youtube. It was an awesome experience and I can’t wait to go again. Not sure I can make this year, though. Best of Luck to you at this weekend’s race. I’ll be cheering for you as always.
