Helio has been full of joy and smiles since the birth of his first daughter, Mikaella Castroneves, with girlfriend Adriana Henao.
He has been posting pictures (on Twitter) of the new baby since the birth on December 28th 2009. She was born with 7pounds 3ounces, and measuring 19 inches.
Mother and daughter are very healthy, and Helio is still figuring out how to do the diaper pitstop!

Ele tem colocado fotos (em seu Twitter) da nova nenem desde seu nascimento no dia 28 de dezembro de 2009. Ela nasceu com 3,3kg e 48cm de comprimento.
Mãe e filha estão perfeitamente saudáveis, e Helio ainda está tentado fazer o pitstop da fralda!

Wish I knew you were going to be on ET. I would have recorded it. Anyway, is the photo shoot pic you tweeted from the People magazine other’s have mentioned here, or should we expect something new? I’ll have to look for that People magazine. Hope it’s still on the stands.

It was so nice to see the three of you on Entertainment Tonight. We went yesterday and bought the People Magazine. Great picture of you, Adriana, and Mikaella. She has your dimples. She is such a cutie and you and Adriana look so happy. What a beautiful family.

Parabéns pelo nascimento da Mikaella…. Minha filha tem 2 anos e novo meses e é a maior conquista da minha vida. Estou muito empolgado com a 1ª etapa deste ano aqui em SP. Vi no site da bando o que será o circuito e achei demais. Melhor ainda com a sua vitória. Estaremos todos torcendo e espero estar lá para ver.

Helio, I just found out you’ll be in Indy on Tuesday to accept your new 2009 Indy 500 Ring, and to unveil your image on the Borg Warner trophy again. Enjoy your day in Indy, but make sure you dress very warmly. If you think Atlanta has been cold lately, we had near zero cold last week. Luckily, Tuesday is supposed to be sunny with a high of 33 degrees and a low of 18 degrees. That’s so much better than last week. I think I’ll stop at the Indy 500 gift shop on Tuesdsay to see if they have any new Helio items out yet! Congrats and enjoy your day in Indy!!

I have no achievements in life that would compare to winning the Indy 500 3X, but the birth of each of my three children has been a crowning joy in this life. Three-time Indy 500 champion Helio Castroneves and his girlfriend became parents Monday when Adriana Henao gave birth to a 7-pound, 3-ounce girl in Atlanta.
In keeping with the theme, the baby underwent a post-delivery chassis inspection, then was fitted in a checkered-flag diaper.
