Even missing one of the five races by the Indy Racing League in this street course, the Team Penske driver holds the main records of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
(Sao Paulo, Brazil – Tuesday, March 23, 2010) In order to expand the records he has accumulated in St. Petersburg over the past five years, the Brazilian driver Helio Castroneves, will compete next Sunday (March 28) on the second race of the 2010 IZOD Indycar Series Championship in this street circuit.
“St. Petersburg is a difficult track and the wall is always there telling you that you can not make mistakes. There are 14 curves and compared with Sao Paulo, is about 1 mile smaller. The memories are great here, where I have won important victories”, recalled the competitor who starts his 11th season in the Penske team and 13 in Indy.
In fact, some of the various track records that Castroneves has solidified in the series are in St. Petersburg. Held for the first time in 2005, the city with approximately 2.7 million people will receive the Indy Racing League for the sixth time. In the previous five, the Brazilian won two of them.
Tune in this Sunday (March 28th) at 3:30pm on ABC.

thanks soo much for signing that picture for me. My friend got it for me & told you i was an avid fan of yours. I wore my tshirt monday. Keep up the great work.
Alright. 4th place. Great finish! If it weren’t for Justin Wilson (got nothing against the IndyCar giant), it would’ve been an all-Penske podium. Oh well. Maybe next week.
Let’s improve on that finish at Barber.
Enjoy your off weekend and Mikealla’s first Easter.
Congratulations on finishing 4th! You ran a great race – very clean. Great day for all of Team Penske!
That was a great race this morning. What a great day for Team Penske in getting three cars into the top four! I’m really happy for you guys! Keep it up! Godspeed.

Oops! I see it was Rhonda who mentioned that.
Best of Luck in this weekend’s race, Helio! I enjoyed that video of you on GMA. Like Barb, I liked it when you mentioned the importance of fatherhood. Robin appeared to know how to drive pretty well… for an amateur. I watched you on Sports Soup on Versus too. You were quite funny and adorable as ever. It was nice to see that side of you. Hope all is well with your precious little girl and fast- growing nephew. Godspeed to you and yours.

Helio, What a wonderful way to start the day. Seeing you on “GMA” with Robin Roberts. I’m excited that she gets to drive the pace car. It was so cute you teling her to be careful because you’re a father now. Looking forward to watching the St. Petersbur Race this weekend. The Indy 500 will be the first race of the season we will be going to. Hope all is well with the family. I’m sure Mikaella is growing quickly. Can’t wait to see the three of you together.
BIG HUG from Rhonda and Tom
Helio, Enjoyed seeing you with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America this morning! Loved seeing the twitter picture of you and Julianne in LA having dinner together…you two will always be my favorite DWTS champions!! Good Luck this weekend in St. Petersburg!!
Good luck in St. Pete Helio!!!
Let’s make up for missing last year’s race by climbing a fence!
