Longside a promo IZOD Indycar Series car, Helio was live this morning on Good Morning America announcing the 2010 Indy 500 Pace car and driver.
The “Good Morning America” anchor, Robin Roberts, will drive the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Pace Car to lead the field of 33 drivers to the start of the Indianapolis 500 on May 30.
Castroneves, the defending race champion, introduced Roberts as the driver live on “Good Morning America.” The race will be televised live on ABC for the 46th consecutive year.
Stay tuned this weekend on ABC for the ST. Petersburg race: Sunday March 28th at 3:30pm (ET) Live.

Not a bad finish at Kansas. Sad you couldn’t get on the podium, but it was nice to see you grinning after the race.
Can’t believe that 29 days from now, we could be commenting up a storm congratulating you on making history.
But we have to get through Pole Day (15 points are on the line and we know you can earn em) and practices leading up to the 500.
But until the track opens, you take care of yourself, get ready for the crazy month ahead, continue spending as much time as possible with your little girl, make sure Adriana gets whatever she wants for her first Mother’s Day (and your own mom), and have a very happy birthday.

Not a bad race. Sorry that you dropped to third in points but only by 2, so it’s nothing to worry about really. Wish you could have held onto that third place finish today. I’m sure Penske will get fixed on your cars whatever is needed before the 500. Have a great month preparing for it! Godspeed. In case I’m not back before then to say this, have a happy birthday too.

I’ve been watching qualifying on Versus so far this season. Is there some place online where I can watch it this week since ABC is covering the race. Didn’t they show it live on Indycar.com last year? Or was it another website? I’m not seeing the links on Indycar’s page. Am I missing something or are they not going to show it?

Just Kansas tomorrow and then it’s time for you to get “in the zone” to repeat as pole winner (those 15 points could really give you a boost) AND get 500 Win #4.
Not to metioned I’d love to see to Win #4 at Texas a week later.

I almost forgot to tell you. While we were away, we stopped by the Museum of Indy Motorsports. They were just taking your new t-shirts out of the boxes. I asked for one in my size and I was the first to buy one at the Museum. Tom made me go change since we were taking pictures in front of the Borg Warner Trophy. We were out of town for the race on Sunday and had to wait until we got home to watch it on the DVR. What and exciting race and what good strategy Tim and you had. You and Tim work great together. We could see the pride in your eyes as you held Mikaella in your arms at the podium. Adriana looked on with such great pride in the both of you together. Looking forward to this Sundays race, but better yet looking forward to being at the INDY 500. Congratulations Helio, you deserved it. Next time you win, get Adriana up there with you and Mikaella so everyone can see the happy family.

I love the articles talking about how much your life as changed since the acquital last year. I’d say so. Can’t believe everything you’ve gone through since October 2008.
Now life is back to normal with the exception of your daddy’s girl now taking centerstage in your life. It’s obvious in your eyes, which shine brighter than before, and smile, which is bigger and brighter than before, that your world is centered around beautiful Mikaella and the sport you love.
Enjoy her now while she’s little (of course you’re going to have a blast when she’s more active and playful). I know you have friends around you who can tell you how fast kids grow up.
Can’t wait for Long Beach. There would be no better way to celebrate that one year ago this coming weekend, you got your life back. Good luck and climb another fence!
I’m envious that you guys move to Fort Lauderdale. I’m from the Palm Beach area and am moving back to South Florida in the next few years. Fort Lauderdale is my favorite place down there (although Hollywood is up and coming). Great weather, great beaches and canals and many good people (I friends from college there). Enjoy when you get unpacked!!

I cant wait to see Helio win his 4th Indy 500!!! The only problem is i’m going to have to watch it from my DVR because I am graduating High School on that day i usually go to the Indy 500 every year and i even tried to get my mom to let me skip graduation but thats not going to happen!!! So i am having a Indy 500 party after my graduation party!!!

Saw the pic of him in front of the CNN sign in downtown ATL on his Twitter feed, great pic. If you haven’t already been, you should try to get to the Aquarium in downtown ATL. Largest in the world and very cool even with the pricey admission. Bring Kati’s little one when they come to town. He would love it. Also, be sure to get to FLIP Buger Botique on Howell Mill Road (owned by former Top Chef runner up Richard Blais). Great food. If you really want to go over the top, order the Nutella Shake! OMG!!

So great seeing you on tv bright and early this morning, although I’m not sure how you looked so wide awake and even managed to make jokes! I hear the last time a woman drove the pace car, you won the Indy 500. Hopefully that means this’ll be your lucky year again!
