Helio Castroneves will compete in the Australian’s Gold Coast 600 with Ford Falcon
(Monday, October 19, 2010) The Brazilian driver Helio Castroneves, of the Team Penske from Indycar, is already in Australia, where he will compete this weekend in the ARMOR ALL GOLD COAST 600, race of V8 Supercars Championship Series. His team will be Wilson Security Racing with Ford Falcon FG.
It is a stock-car chassis equipped with a 5 liter V8 engine and estimated power of 635 hp, limited to a maximum of 7,500 rpm. Without the driver, the minimum weight is 1335 kg and the total capacity of the fuel tank is 120 liters. The speed is 294 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3s8. All cars use Dunlop tires and fuel E85 (85% ethanol from cane sugar and 15% gasoline).

Trata-se das etapas 19 e 20 do V8 Supercars Championship Series. Sua equipe será a Wilson Security Racing e o equipamento é um Ford Falcon FG.
Trata-se de um chassi monobloco equipado com motor V8 de 5 litros e potência estimada de 635 cv, limitada ao máximo de 7.500 rpm. Sem o piloto, o peso mínimo é de 1335 kg e a capacidade total do tanque de combustível é de 120 litros. A tradução disso tudo, em velocidade, é de 294 km/h e aceleração de 0 a 100 km/h em 3s8. Todos os carros utilizaram pneus Dunlop e combustível E85, que é uma mistura de 85% de etanol de cana-de-açúcar e 15% de gasolina sem chumbo.
