Helio Castroneves has a very important mission right after the opening of the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series, taking place in St. Petersburg, Florida, on March 25. As an active participant in philanthropic and welfare assistance in the United States, the Team Penske driver was appointed as president of the Brazil Foundation Gala I Miami event for the Brazil Foundation to raise funds for community and social projects in Brazil.

The event will bring together about 600 participants at the W Hotel and Residences South Beach in Miami Beach on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. The engineer Norberto Odebrecht will be honored by the philanthropic work done by the Odebrecht Foundation in the areas of education and training for the disadvantaged youth. “I’m very honored to be invited to be chair (president) of this wonderful event and we will work intensively for the Brazil Foundation Gala Miami to be unforgettable”
