After running the fastest laps in the morning, Helio Castroneves finished second on this first day of the IZOD IndyCar Series Open Tests. The best time was done by Ryan Hunter-Reay of Andretti Autosport (52s5826), followed by Castroneves (52.7092).

“Even though we do not race in Sebring, it’s good for Team Penske to gain more understanding of what to do in the car, what changes we need to make. The set up we developed here can also be used for other road courses. Today we found several things and my lap was not ideal. Let’s hope for better results for the second day of testing, “said Castroneves, who returns to the circuit of Sebring on Tuesday.
